What's the point in having a system and fights that affect the nature of those rankings when regardless of what happens, the sanctioning body just does as it pleases anyway?

Miranda is not the champion, as such, he should have suffered in the rankings due to the loss. If you're going to have this sort of subjectivity included in the situation, why not have video playbacks during fights to determine whether a knockdown was legitimate when questioned?
