As previously announced, Chagaev faces Ruiz in a pivotal heavyweight bout with world title ramifications. "It's great that I have the chance to box Ruiz," said Chagaev. "He has had 49 fights against good opponents and has a lot of experience." The postponement of the fight from October to November has caused no problems for Chagaev and his trainer Timm.
