As much as I would like to agree with you mate I cant, AH has always had the potential to be a great fighter but just has not delivered.

To be a great heavyweight you require certain fundamental attributes, good or great technique (Audley has the ability), good or great power(undecided on what level of power he has but its certainly not great), heart (seems to be lacking this), decent chin(his is not great I feel) and aggression (he does not seem to have any)

At the amateur level where the aim over 4 rounds is to score points Audley could rely on his technical ability to score high hence the Sydney Gold Medal however professional boxing is so much more, at some stage in a top pro fight he will have to take a chance or show aggression and most importantly dig in and scrap a fight out, so far he doesn't look like he is able to do these things.

Lets be honest if AH was a future great he would have demolished Williams but as it went he struggled all through the fight with him, got dropped and lost the decision, if Audley was as good as he thought he was then he would have handled Williams as easily as Klitschko did!!!

Even if he beats Skelton which I doubt, so what, Skelton is only a strong, hardy mauler!

You mention the Lewis v Bruno fight and compare this fight to that, the problem is those fighters were different class, Skelton to Bruno, there are huge differences, Bruno was world class for a start and he could seriously punch and box with a good jab, I would say Bruno and Skelton are complete opposites, to compare AH with Lewis is disrespectful to the great man, Lewis was a thoughtful fighter but he was also a ruthless fighter, he could box, punch and had the killer instinct when he had hurt his opponent.
Lewis could of fought AH, Skelton and Williams back to back on the same night and beat them all!

I go for Big Aud' by KO. I still believe in him and I have followed him for six long years.

Aud' needs a guy to come into him so he can take him apart. His frame is big enough to match Skelton on the inside and before you laugh consider that Matt mauls on the inside whereas Audley can fight there at times, we jsut never saw it in his two losses.

Matt is not going to get enough leverage on his shots to KO Audley and will be picked apart then KO'd due to his own forward momentum

To be fair to the guy, styles (and punching power) make fights and all that.

Though that fight did clearly show that Audley doesn't have faith in his whiskers.
