Guerrero opens training camp!
In preparation for his first defense of the IBF featherweight title he won just a month ago at Staples Center, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (19-1-1, 11 KOs) returned to Los Angeles today to finish training for his November 4 battle with top-rated contender Orlando Salido (27-9-2, 18 KOs) to be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The bout will be the semi-main event to the Floyd Mayweather-Carlos Baldomir WBC world welterweight championship fight to be broadcast on HBO Pay-Per-View.
Under the supervision of his trainer John Bray, the new star of the Bay Area, will conduct his daily workouts at the Northridge Athletic Club and sparring sessions with Freddy Roach's Wild Card Gym in Hollywood. "It feels good to be in LA to finish up my training camp with John," Guerrero exclaimed. "I'm in great shape and on November 4th I will be ready to defend my title at all cost. I know Salido is a tough opponent, but I am not going let him take what I worked so long and hard for. Winning the title is one thing, but I'm bringing my game up to another level to keep it."
