The article is errornous and its already a beaten to death subject.. The writer reports that the Division is "overrun by champions that call the former Soviet Union home" When in fact only ONE of them does.. Valuev.. Wlad Klitschko Lives in Hamburg Germany and also has a residence in LA, Serigi Lackhovich lives in the Greater Phoenix area and Oleg Maskaev lives in Sacramento CA and is an AMERICAN CITIZEN... This subject is tiring.. The HW title is NOT Americas by devine right...

I agree with some of the other posters here ... who gives a **** where a fighter is from? I'm as patriotic as they get in other areas, but when it comes to boxing, I for the most part don't give a damn if the HW champ is American or not. In fact, I was rooting for Oleg against Rahman (the American) because Rahman is an underacheiver and Oleg, while limited in ability, always gave it his best effort. Similarly, I immensely enjoyed watching a Brit like Lennox flatten Mike Tyson, Tyson's nationality be damned.

Obviously the article is intended as a commentary on the state of play in the heavyweight division at this point. The next moves are about to be made in which three American fighters will fight three fighters of the former Soviet for world championships. It's an analysis of that.

There is a vast majority of fans, media etc that do believe that the heavyweight championship especially belongs in America. We'll see how disinterested some of you are as soon as an American takes a title back and looks like unifying.

Although I'm a big fan of American heavyweights(Ali, Foreman, Tyson, Holyfield, etc.), right now I could care less if an American, Ukrainian, Russian, Irish or whatever nationality holds the belt.

All I care about is a unified champion who's willing to fight the best opponents out there!

Watch out for Ruslan Chagaev. He looks quick, powerful, and Tyson-esque when exploding into space with his hooks. Exciting fighter and they seem confident pushing him to fight an awkward spoiler such as Ruiz so soon.
