it's an amazing streak, but would it have gone on without all the crappy competition in those years?
Angel Roman 4-6-3
Adan Pedro Gomez 8-27-3
Marcelino Acevedo 0-2-2
Martin O Juarez 2-3-2
Angel Roman 2-1-1
Manuel Jack Hernandez 0-2-1
Anibal Di Lella 2-1-0
Orlando Ribeiro 1-0-2
Hilario Suarez 0-3-1
Tito Del Barco 1-5-0
Juan Carlos Gomez 2-3-0
Adan Pedro Gomez 8-13-2
Leonardo Peralta 0-7-5
Osvaldo Piazza 4-4-0
Ramon A Gomez 1-0-1
Osvaldo Piazza 4-3-0
Carlos Clemente 1-4-1
Jose Acha Paz 0-2-0
Adan Pedro Gomez 8-11-1
Omar Salvo 0-8-0
Omar Salvo 0-7-0
Leonardo Peralta 0-1-0
Adan Pedro Gomez 3-5-0
so 23 of those 57 had a combined record of 51-118-25, or combined winning record of 26.3%
he seems to have snacked on several of them multiple times.
This is just a partial listing of the absolute worst of his competition. There are plenty more duds in that streak with records below 50%.Comment

well yeah man anybody with 100 or more fights has clearly "snacked" on some bad opps ... a wise man once said "you show me an undeafeated fighter and i'll show you someone who hasnt fought anybody"Comment

Nope, that honour goes to one, Joe Marciente, who never knocked out an opponent in some 125 to130 fights.
But Locche was friggin spectacular, and I wished my computer didn't take a dump a few months back or else I could have passed along one of Locche's fights to those interested...
Through these eyes Locche possessed very quick hands on offense. Tight, quick, and very accurate left jab. A ****ing killer of a lead left hook to the body (to the head, as well), which shows a BUNCH more snap to his bunches than his KO% indicates he had (Locche broke people down over a fight, and if they weren;t going to go, he settled for the decision). And on defense he's everything they say about him, as he looked nearly impossible to hit from mid/longe range. AMAZING upperbody reflexes, and that attribute was helped by this seeming ability to detect when a punch was coming from his opponents...He possessed a radar mechanism or something. Great balance on his feet, which helped him duck under, then turn on his feet to set up different angles. The only real weaknesses of him that I saw, were his tendancy not to throw the right hand much early in the fight, as he was predominately a left handed fighter (throws his right more late, but mostly throws jabs & left hooks otherwise). Also he physically didn't look very strong, so I'd say he'd be vulnerable to a strong, inside fighter who could probably push him around and bust him up inside...
But, a ****ing great fighter that Locche was, that's for sure.Comment
