First, XCARET-cagate en tu madre, You thiink everyone online is a geek? Anyway, DLH started this verbal assault, when Tito replied he had to stick his foot in his mouth. And just to clarify wht DLH vs Mayorga drew a bigger amount of ppv buys? Because the majority of people were watching to see DLH lose. It just didn't happen that way.
Delahoya scared to rematch Trinidad.

Carr, Vargas, Mayorga, and Campas...What's DLH biggest win? Vargas? Yeah DLH did more rounds that Tito against Bhop cuz Bhop didn't do much on those first rounds against DLH (like he did against Taylor twice) but then KHTFO with a single punch that made Oscar lay in the canvas screaming like if he was stabbed or something...Comment

You know whats funny? you and the other idiots tito fans keep saying oscar has fought tito left overs like vargas, mayorga and campas. If that was the case then how come oscar vs vargas draw more ppv buys then tito vs vargas huh?. How about how come oscar vs mayorga draw way more ppv buys then tito vs mayorga huh? Better yet tito vs campas was back i think in 95 when that was on the undercard while oscar vs campas was on main event ppv and it was still a big buys. Tito face a a very small welterweight and way out of shape mayorga. While mayorga look like the same mayorga when he easily beat a bum after the tito fight ( hmmm i thought mayorga wouldn't look the same) but mayorga was in his best shape when he fought oscar and bascally got school by the goldenboy. The bottomline is this, the only ppl that really talk about tito left overs is the idiot tito fans. Yea left overs and oscar still got a bigger draw then tito.
Some Facts:
Of their 7 common opponents, 3 WERE undefeated when Tito faced them.
DLH fought Campas 9 years, 31 fights and 5 KO losses after Tito did
DLH faced Carr 4-1/2 years and 18 fights after Tito did
DLH faced Vargas 2 years after Tito gave him one of the most brutal beatings I've seen.
DLH faced Camacho 3-1/2 years and 21 fights after Tito did.
DLH faced Mayorga 1-1/2 years after Tito did.
The only common opponent that DLH beat first was Whittaker, and that's debatable in many circles. Tito faced him in his next fight (technically second fight after, but the other was a ND) and won without the slightest hint of controversy.
The common opponent that they lost to, Tito lost first, but did so on his feet in a later round.
These are facts. You are free to look them up yourself. The average was fighting common oppenents 3 years AFTER Tito. There is no way to dispute that.
It still has nothing to do with PPV numbers. DLH has always had a large draw outside boxing circles. That doesn't make the fights "bigger" or "better". It just means more casual fans know who DLH is. If you want to talk "bigger", 2 undefeated fighters facing each other is a bigger fight.
The score on that count is Tito 3 - DLH 0.Comment

I'm having a hard time understanding exactly what drawing a larger PPV audience has to do with whether or not Tito beat the fighters first.

De La Hoya attracts bigger crowds because he was an olympic gold medalist and brought up the right way as a pro. Arum made him a star. If De La Hoya wasnt an olmpic gold medalist with a big promoter he wouldnt have won all them controversial decisions. De La Hoya was an American gold medalist, who most women found attractive, hes always smiling, he stays out of trouble, the guy is just a star. Has nothing to do with him being better than Trinidad at all.
De La Hoya is also Mexican American, which favored him a lot. He had a lot of mexicans interested because hes mexican and all americans because he was the gold medalist. He speaks both english and spanish fluently. He has a personality that appeals to white america and not only mexicans. Like I said before, the guy is just a star. Trinidad still has a much better legacy if you ask me.Last edited by 2OSouzaSuarez12; 10-01-2006, 09:05 PM.Comment

Could DLH have beat them in their prime? We will never know because he chose not to fight them.
