The one thing I learned a while ago about fighters is this, they are taught from a young age if there is one thing you don't do, it is "QUIT"...they will fight till there is absolutely nothing left, when nobody will give them a fight

yeah there are plenty of fighters who retire before they end up way past it, getting ko'd to the point where they are denied fights.

the ones you are talking about, it's not so much that they are taught not to quit, because over the course of their career things like money, fame and family become more important. those are STRONG forces to deny man, the millions of dollars, the fans cheering for you and screaming your name...i think those forces take a forefront to the old will not to quit when things get hard in the ring, because they already learned that years ago. oh yeah and let us not forget...EGO.

Woods can't take a body punch. For that reason, he'd lose against Roy again.

perhaps the fact that most people think rjj will easily beat woods again is reason enough for him to want the fight...

then again, he still probably won't get any more respect if he does win, so its a lose-lose situation. except for the money which might not amount to that much anyway.

He took it better than Roy did against the Monson.

He can hurt him, he can take him out.
