Toney Goes Crazy In New Interview...

    "EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: JAMES TONEY
    By G. Leon

Yesterday afternoon ********** received a call from James 'Lights-Out' Toney and the future hall of famer had a whole lot to say. "This is a message to Ivaylo: He's a punk ***** and when I see him going to crush his ass. This is beyond boxing right now. He's talking **** like he's a f**king gangster, now you're down on my motherf**kin level. I'm going to hurt you man that's for real, all that **** he's talking in the paper and me not offering Dave Tibieri a rematch. For your information I offered him a reamtch but that ***** ran scared from me just like Ivaylo in the ring after the fight. He ran like a punk, ***** ***got. You're an ******** that f**king lived, your momma and whole family is ashamed of your *****-ass, that's why you're a smelly ass Russian. And when I see you at the school, and did you know that this motherf**ker had the audacity to send my daughter a letter through his daughter. You don't bring our kids into the problem, you don't do **** like that at all." WARNING EXPLICIT LANGUAGE

Thank you for posting this. I haven't read the interview, though. I cannot stand Toney anymore: yelling, insulting and not backing it up. In my view it has gotten so old ...

To a degree Toney does back it up. He has proven to be a tough boxer in all his fights. James Toney never backs down, I've never seen it happen.

You can say whatever you want when you got the best resume in boxing by miles and have fought everybody from Michael Nunn to Mike McCallum to Iran Barkley to Roy Jones Jr to Evander Holyfield to Samuel Peter.

You have a point. But in my opinion when you talk as much trash as Toney, then you have to murder your opposition and not lose on points, get a draw or give some trouble. There always should be a particular balance, you know what I mean?

Nope. Toney speaks his mind, he's hated the world since his dad left when he was a kid (that's why he just loves to fight). He's funny as ****.

And he's not a fake ass country boy like say Jones Jr or Tarver, Toney is from the city and was selling drugs at 14 years old. He's legit.

Selling drugs at 14 makes him legit? ... You have other standards than I do. You should read some Lamon Brewster said, this is man who is for real.

Yeah, thats one way to look at it. Toney more of a tatical boxer so hes not going to Mike Tyson his opponents. Toney needs to get in shape, thats his problem. But a credit to Toney, even a over weight version of himself arguably beat Sam Peter. I had the fight scored 113-117 for Toney, and I know I'm not the only one.

TRUTH, I respect you and agree that Toney gave Peter a very good fight (I scored it 116:111 for Peter I believe - thing is James fought like a man unlike Klitschko IMO). James Toney is a very good fighter.
But he looks totally out of shape and the steroids thing ...
He may not be able to Mike Tyson his opponents, but he should be able to be in top shape so he can back up his words and accusations.
