i'm so glad i can count on watching Corrales-Casamayor next week and not having to worry about them cutting the fight up into a 10 minute, fake-sound effect, highlight reel while cutting away 9-10 times mid-fight to see Corrales' wife/Casamayor's family in the stands....

I loved the first season. I got into every episode. I didnt like this year at all, maybe because it was the same exact thing as last year.

last year, instead of having the winning team pick the opponent, they would have a survivor like competition between the teams to see who would pick first. that was a whole lot better IMO.

thats what digusted me. non-boxing fans and morons like sergio mora just cuz he "won" the contender. those same people have no idea that he brings nothing honorable or good to the sport, hes a boring fighter, has limited skills, no power, and is a total *******... but they like him cuz he won. and when people come to this sport cuz of a joke of a fighter like sergio mora, that just goes to show how sad boxing is.

the contender added too much drama which has probly made a lot of peole think that ALL boxing matches are entertaining. or they start watching cuz of stallone, or ray leonard, or the music, or the drama, or whatever. but the thing the contender does NOT do is bring REAL boxing fans to boxing, people who now WANT to be boxing fans. contender fans watch boxing now cuz they saw the contender, not because they like boxing.

the contender sold out, was watered down, trimmed, refined, overly dramatic and did not expose people to the SPORT of boxing, only the SHOW of boxing.
