I dont think you understand my point.
I actully think Margirito would beat Williams.
However, Williams is a legit threat, and called out Tony.
Tony says hes the most feared welter and no one will fight him, then doesnt accept the challange.

Tony scared of Williams?....... Margarito's team is planning to get the fight with Williams in early 2007 if he gets past Clottey(from Maxboxing). Doug is the one who got the word out about the sparring sessions between Margarito and Williams way before Williams even brought them up. Doug seen the sparring in person and said that they had wars in there that had people drop what they were doing just to see the action. Doug said Williams caught Margarito with a body shot that had him gasping for air, but it was after they were already going at it for a long number rounds, and also said it's funny how Willaims only wants to talk about what he did to him, cause Margarito also landed his shot's and knocked him down(not a flash knockdown, push,or slip, but a knockdown that had Williams flat of his back and dazed).

to me tony is taking the floyd approach to it. he doesnt think williams has earned the right to fight him which i dont blame him for. he has to work his way up the ladder. yea he has the tools to beat anyone in the division but none of the top guys acknowledge his resume. i actually think williams has floyds number more than tony does. he has every possible advantage that he needs. the only thing marg doesnt have r the fast hands. tony has pretty fast hands for a power puncher but not as fast as williams.

Although that makes sense, and would be acceptable if Tony had been playing that card all along, Margirito has been on record many times saying no one will fight him, over and over again. Here you have a top ten opponent, who is a good looking prospect and the potential for a great fight, and Tony fights Josh Clottey. Thats what makes me angry. As i have to say over and over again, Im a boxing fan first and foremost, and Williams v MArgirito > Margirito v Clottey.

And I dont think Floyd and Tony are on the same level skill/talent wise, but I do see why people think TOny would give Floyd lots of trouble.

the thing u have to understand is their styles. floyd is the best boxer in the business so moving up he can still outbox these guys to victory. tony bullies u around with his size and strength. if he moves up it will 3 times harder to do that. welterweight and jr. middleweight have big differences.

I'm not sucking up to anyone. Thats sounds so dumb to say. Im defending one of my favorite fighters while u defend yours. If thats the case then u suck up to Williams. Everyone is asking for proof but almost no one has delivered it. I offered proof for what i said about tony.
