I responded to the thread before the poll showed up. I didn't know it was a gag thread...

Emile Griffith was the most prominent gay boxer, and probably the only "out" (or "outed", you decide by watching his documentary) world-class athlete.

I doubt Oscar is gay...the guy was a known to have a piece of pie every morning...he is also married to a Latina: Latin women are all about having sex and having children...if they thought their man was even bisexual, they would probably kick them to the curb since it will "pollute" the genes.

Did Griffith ever come out and say he was Gay or not? I didn't think he did but it is obvious. Probably about 5% of boxers are gay just like in life. Maybe more because I have had friends that were in the closet that always had to prove how tough and badass they were.

He didn't make a blatant statement in the documentary but all of his friends did, and he talked about being in the gay club before he was assaulted...
