I think because Williams does have a good following so early in his career and great tv expose and with margarito fighting in december, when they do fight i think it will be a big fight.

The story Arum made up about Williams outpricing himself was a lie.

Ive posted this in about 20 threads but the reason why it was never discussed is due to the fact that Margarito is fighting on Showtime, Paul Williams who is also supported by Al Haymon are on HBO, Arum could potentially be outbid in a pursebid easily, therefore its impossible to make the accusation of "outpricing". Its just not logical by whats been stated.

Not to mention, Williams doesnt do his own negotiating, so how is that even possible? Williams seemed pretty reasonable in his interview, so i doubt he would even try to outprice himself for a piece of **** belt against a above average fighter with virtually no name.

I can understand the logic that margarito is using, but in actuality it's not even the same scenario. williams is Margarito mandatory, he is the #1 challenger. margarito was never Floyd's mandatory. Floyd never said he was the most feared in boxing and fought a #5 ranked challenger.

As for the Williams issue i would like Williams to offer Margarito millions to fight him this december ,then if Margarito doesn't break off that Clottey deal i'll say he's ducking Williams.

Williams is a step back for Margarito but he'll have to beat him just like he beat Cintron.

This is clearly a ducking issue. Williams has the buzz to warrant interest for a fight with Margarito. Margarito knows a loss to Williams kills any hopes of him fighting Floyd, and hurts his pockets something awful.

Im glad people are building up Williams, the more people build him up the more hate Margarito is going to get for beating Williams up.

When Margarito taps that chin, Williams legs are going to turn to jello, and through out the fight Williams will do his best impression of john ruiz and thats before he even gets hurt. Then after Williams ko lose to Margarito, i predict Williams chin becomes even more fragile or at least at Cintron level.

Your actually strengthening the argument by saying that because this sitation is actually worse. lol. There is just real defense for this, however, its not a big deal to me because i dont care too much for margarito or williams.


But my "logic" i meant how he is saying "the fight will be bigger down the line" which Ferocity is attempting to use in favor of Margarito as far as building names up. You just cant run to that when Floyd was saying THE EXACT SAME THING and nobody wanted to hear it. Regardless, Margarito didint even say that, and even if he did, it wouldnt matter, unlike floyd he goes through a promoter, Floyd just does as he pleases and calls his own shots for the most part.
