FWIW, I always said Calzaghe was the best fighter in the world, years and years ago.. until the Mayweather/Gatti fight.

As far as current 'lb4lb' is concerned, who put in a better performance in their last fight?? Calzaghe is by far #1 IMO.

Considering what situations? Hopkins going up in weight and Tarver coming down in weight, and what the hell did Tarver ever do anyway other than score with a lucky punch onto the so-called mythical 'lb4lb' guy? I predicted Hopkins would thoroughly dominate him.

Watch the Calzaghe/Lacy fight again, and you'll realise that it truly was a Masterclass.

He was defending against better fighters than Jones Jr and Hopkins.

Hopkins was 41 years old, coming off 2 losses, had been fighting at 160lbs and was fighting the numbe 1 guy who had 2wice beat roy jones and had beaten Glen Johnson Lacy was unproven and just hype , i predicted calz to stop lacy
