Where is the next boxing superstar?

I think he should listen to Frank Warren more often and slow up a bit...he still looks like he has some maturing to do, physically...just give him a few more years and if I am right, that he is still growing physically (into a "man"), then he is only going to get stronger, faster, better stamina, and his chin can even improve since your bones continue to thicken into your 20's.
It just seems there is a lot of pressure on him to get to the title "NOW"...not sure if that is true since I don't live in England, but just judging from the outside it does seem that way.Comment

I havent really seen Correa fight, maybe once, but hes a good look too, have to see him again. That guy was making faces at Yukeno during the interductions, and Yukeno whuped his ass. It happened fast thats why the first knockdown is missing, I didnt know who he was until he went crazy than I started recording..

I just don't want to see the kid have his career ended early when there is no need...he has a lot of raw/natural ability that other fighters don't have, so over time, with the proper training he can really become good, if not great...he still has flaws and that can easily be improved with time... if he feels he needs a new trainer to go to the next level, better to do it before you reach the top 10...not saying he can't make an adjustment later since we all saw the improvement Lennox made when he went with Emanuel, but why go through a knockout loss before you change...the longer you wait, the more humble you can be when you finally get the title...Hamed should of been better in my opinion, but he was a bit to out of control.
Amir makes similar mistakes that Hamed makes with his defense, ex: he tends to drop his hands and he doesn't tuck his chin enough...at least from the last time I saw him he didn't...it is about not being hit and if you are, making sure that the punch doesn't land flush...just look how good Bernard Hopkins's defense is, great example what you should do...guys like Ali and Roy are freaks of nature that get away with things you shouldn't be able to get away with, but over time it catches up with you.
If Amir is to see Ali and Floyd, why not see Ray Leonard as wellLast edited by Abe Attell; 09-25-2006, 08:24 PM.Comment
