    He had the fundementals of a great boxer....but his inability to adapt to quicker, younger fighters cost him some big wins. He did beat Meldrick Taylor but mostly because Taylor made a mistake of going toe to toe with him.

    Great fighter...but I wouldn't say he's multi-dimensional. He fights his way and imposes his style on others.

      He was also knocked out twice by Oscar and Kostya, what are you thoughts on that: if Chavez was in his "prime", would the outcome be the same?

        Whitaker and Taylor exposed him kinda as one dimensional,not taking anything away from him coz hes in my top 5 all time...

        Also I know he fought ODLH when Chavez was "past it" but I think prime for prime ODLH wins 8 outta 10!
