Check this out about The Contender

Look who he's fighting next. http://boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=4043
Isn't that a little weird? I guess they just wanted the runner ups to fight too. I don't remember who it was on this board that said that maybe the runner ups were going to fight on an undercard. Well they were right. But I still find this pretty weird and inconvenient.

the people who lose in the semis fight each other to decide who gets third place.
      It happened last year, too.

yeah, last year there was something like a $250 000 runner up prize. It will be less this year since the grand prize this year is $500 000, but why would you not want to see a runner up fight? I say make it a full card. I actually would like them to do what the UFC does and put the Contender finals matchups on the card but put a guy like Juan Diaz or Margarito in the main event. Someone who is really good but needs some exposure. The political structure of UFC allows them to do that.

when manfredo jr. fights on ESPN2 in october, bolleto will be on the card

and everyone knew that the 3rd and 4th placers were gonna fight on the undercard. it happened last season as well.

last year they fought for 250,000 bucks, i think its the same again...

And it looks like Walter Wright will fight Vinroy Barrett and Michael Clark will fight Freddy Curiel. Sweet.

                I like KP.
Bravo likes to trade, and K9 is one powerful dude.
I also like Wright to decision Barrett and Freddy to decision Clark.

K9 is also a lot easier to hit, both are strong with tough chins. i think bravo is just a little bit better, he'll win a razor thin decision

Wright will beat barret easily, barret is slick but too defensive, he doesn't move his hands enough. Wright does.
