Roy Jones Jr. Deserves Some Credit
Roy Jones Jr. is not a coward. Alot people view him as a coward because he was overly defensive against Tarver in the third fight. But after two knockouts like that, it takes guts to get back in a boxing ring again. Those wern't just little knockouts, those crushing knockouts. Boxing is a dangerous sport, we saw what happened to Leavander Johnson. This isn't a joke, or a game. Like James Toney said "you don't play boxing." Fighters seriously risk their lives when they box each other because freak accidents happen. I think Jones deserves credit for fighting after those two knockouts. Like I said this is boxing. Its not like Roy is a baseball player and hes can't seem to get a hit for two games in a row, the man was knocked out cold twice back to back. Many would have retired after two extreme back to back KOs, but Jones faught on and is going to fight on. And his decision to fight on didn't have to with the money, Jones is rich. Who agrees that the boxing community should give him some credit for that?

I'll say it again.. Its not that people disresoect RJJ the boxer..they disrespect RJJ the personality.. Its hard to like someone who tells US what our opinions are.. Its up to US to decide if he is the BEST not him..Comment

I was pretty angry how he threw away his chance against Tarver in their third fight, but I think if he's serious about coming back and I mean takes it very seriously, even though he's not getting any younger, he could be a force in boxing. That's far from certain and the interesting part will be to see if it happens.Comment

i wouldve given him credit if he didnt take so much damn time off. and when he did come back, id give him credit if his comeback fight was a total shutout and a masterful performance.Comment
