    BoxingScene Pound For Pound Rankings
    By Jose Villegas

1.Bernard Hopkins- The Middleweight champion of the world. Has ruled his division for a decade and has made a record 18 title defenses. Hopkins is number one because he is the complete fight, there’s not one thing he cannot do. His boxing IQ is unmatched. The only knock on Hopkins is he is his own manager and has a reputation for talking himself out of big fights.

Biggest wins: Felix Trinidad TKO 12, Oscar De La Hoya KO 9, Antwun Echols TKO 10

    2. Floyd Mayweather – Former Junior Lightweight Champion, Former Lightweight Champion and is now competing at Junior Welterweight. Blazing fast hands and is untouchable on defense. Has never ran from a challenge and has performed the best in his biggest fights. The only reason he’s not number one on this list is because he does have a ***** in the armor and that’s his brittle hands.

Biggest wins: Diego Corrales TKO 8, Gernaro Hernandez TKO 8, Jose Luis Castillo W 12

    3. Erik Morales- Former Junior Featherweight Champion, Former Featherweight Champion, Current Junior Lightweight Champion. The Classic Mexican warrior, Morales is a gifted boxer, but loves nothing more than a good slugfest. Tall and lanky in the mold of Tommy Hearns his best punch is his straight right hand. Might have the best chin in the sport. Will fight anyone anywhere anytime. First fight with Barrera is legendary.

Biggest wins: Daniel Zaragoza KO 11, Marco Antonio Barrera Win 12, Injin Chi Win 12

    4. Manny Pacquiao- Former Flyweight Champion, Former Junior Featherweight Champion, Current Featherweight Champion. Pacquiao has won over many fans over the last two years with his straight ahead let it all hang out style. A murderous power puncher with extremely quick hands oh yeah and he’s a SOUTHPAW!! Some flaws were exposed in his fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, but if Pacquiao goes back to the gym and works on not depending so much on just his straight left then you might be seeing him at number one this list very soon.

Biggest wins: Marco Antonio Barrera TKO 11, Lehlohonolo Ledwaba KO 6

    5. Rafael Marquez- Current Bantamweight Champion. One the hardest punchers pound for pound in the sport. Is just now coming out from the shadow of his older brother Juan Manuel. Rafael can box with the best, but he has the power to blast them out as well. His chin is suspect and he can be hurt.

Biggest wins: Mark Johnson TKO 8, Tim Austin TKO 8

    6. Juan Manuel Marquez- Gifted counter puncher and about as well schooled a fighter as there is in boxing. Showed plenty of heart by rallying back after being knocked down three times in the first round against Manny Pacquiao and going on to outbox Pacquiao for most of the fight.

Biggest wins: Manuel Medina TKO 7, Robbie Peden TKO 10

    7. Winky Wright- Current Junior Middleweight Champion. Up until last year Wright had a reputation for just coming up short in his big fights, but he seems to have broken through. Put on a clinic against Shane Mosley to become undisputed champion. The jury is still out on Wright, is he that good or has Mosley faded that badly?

Biggest wins: Shane Mosley Win 12

    8. Antonio Tarver- Current Light heavyweight Champion. Is Tarver a one punch wonder? Only time will tell, Tarver was only landed 7 punches in his rematch with Roy Jones. It seems he had his eyes closed when he landed the pucnh. He needs to beat another top fighter to prove he’s not a flash in the pan. Make no mistake he lost the first Jones fight clean 8-4.

Biggest wins: Roy Jones KO 2, Eric Harding TKO 5

    9. Jose Luis Castillo- Former Lightweight Champion, Current Lightweight Champion. Castillo is boxing’s most underrated fighter. He owns two wins over a prime Stevie Johnston, a win over prime Cesar Bazan and in the opinion of most is 1-1 against the number two guy on this list Floyd Mayweather. Castillo is coming off a great win over the highly thought of Juan Lazcano.

Biggest wins: Stevie Johnston Win 12, Juan Lazcano Win 12

    10. Diego Corrales- Former Junior Lightweight Champion. Very big and strong has Has legit one punch knockout power in both hands. Has problem with guys who give him movement, but is getting much better at dealing with movement since he has started to use his jab. Corrales needed to go a long way to rebuild his reputation after the Floyd Mayweather fight and he has done that returning to pound for pound status again

Biggest Wins: Acelino Freitas TKO 10, Joel Casamyor Win 12

    I agree

Yeah that guy really knows what he's talking about. His is the only list I read.

I dont think Tito deserves to be p4p yet, give him another fight or two.
