What if Pac signs with GBP....

It is in the local news that GBP is interested in PAC. Couldn't believe it till I saw the news here in the BS. Although Pac is quick to discount the fact that he is not joining the GBP and the visit by DLH was just a "mere visit", I still think that "if there's smoke there is fire." As a fan of PAC I ain't got no problem with him signing with GBP.In fact, I think it is the best promotion in the business today with all the current crop of talents it has in its stable. But I got this question which keeps bugging me... Will a rematch between PAC and BARRERA still possible should PAC accept the offer?I know there is no impediment or legal obstacle for them to have the rematch if and when PAC indeed join the stable but would you think GBP will still push through with the plan?

Yes. With Pacquiao under contract, Pac-Barrera II becomes an easy fight to make and gives the entire event to GBP. They have both guys in the main event and can showcase other top fighters on the undercard.

As for the fight itself, if Barrera wins, it sets up a huge rubbermatch for GBP. So that's two mega PPV events solely promoted by GBP. If Pacquaio wins, Barrera may try to get a fourth and final fight with Morales to end both of their respective careers. GBP would have to team with Top Rank on that one, though.

Barrera is such a fan favorite that losing to Pacquiao doesn't kill him, so GBP would take the risk/reward, since with Pac as their guy now, they get the reward out of the fight no matter what happens.

It makes MORE sense to make Pac-Barrera II with both signed to GBP than it does with Pac elsewhere. Let's face it, Pac would be a pretty big favorite, since he would be coming off two wins vs. Morales and of course he demolished Barrera in the first fight. Making this fight without Pac under contract is not nearly as lucrative for GBP (obviously they would have to split the promotion in the first place).

It would be perfect for Paquiao because GBP has plenty of fighters for him to fight Barrera,Marquez, chavez,Barrios.

If its true about GBP that they will not allow on their fights the use of Reyes gloves, then Pac might not sign with them.
