The heavyweight division has gotten to a point now where we are matching up complete ****ing clowns with more clowns.
McBride vs Valuev -- I mean come on. The fact we are even talking about this is just pathetic. McBride, has he even fought since Tyson? Valuev, does he even have any boxing skill?
Such a great thing we have the welterweight division etc.Comment

I just dont get Don King, hell be talking bout unification and how the division is bad and it needs one champion then we hear **** like this, I mean come on when will the fans get what they want???Comment

Sad part is the WBA will allow this to happen. I guess when it come's to don king fighters, mandatory defense's mean ****!!! Valuev's optional defense came against Owen Beck and instead of the WBA instilling a number one contender to Valuev, they allow don king to sign Valuev against Monte Barrett. Now if Valuev defeats Barrett, king is going to match Valuev against Mcbride who is not even ranked in the WBA's top 15? Horse****, pure horse****.Comment

Whats even sadder is that Don king has had a grip on the WBA at least in the HW division for almost 20 yrs. He's too big of an infuence in the sport somebody knock him off plzOriginally posted by ejk22Sad part is the WBA will allow this to happen. Couple comments on this news:
First, what has Mcbride done to deserve a title shot? He beat an uninspired washed up version of Mike Tyson and has fought only once (against a no-name journeyman) since then. He's not even a top twenty heavyweight.
Secondly, news of this fight just confirms my su****ion of Don King's intentions with Valuev. Don King wants to run up Valuev's record to 49-0, and then cash in on the "record beating" 50th fight. And the easiest way to get there is to match Valuev up with fighters who don't pose alot of risk to him. ie Beck, Barrett, Mcbride, Holyfield? Skelton?
