'the prestigious Nottingham Arena'
Anyway, Tony Diddy is a confident lad and it's interesting to point out that Diddy has never really had a long run-up to a fight, a proper camp with total focus on one fight, apart from now.. this fight. I'm sure Diddy will be better than ever because of this, but the fact is that Carl Froch is a world-class fighter and Diddy is not.
It really is as simple as that, Diddy is simply a domestic level fighter IMO. Froch on the otherhand is the **** when he turns it on, the works. I think it will be a mismatch. -
I'm not convinced by Froch. Capable of utter genius, but half the time he looks club level. He needs to fight someone world class so we know either way - and it wouldn't surprise me if he made it. This is a mismatch though, for sure.Originally posted by GEOFFHAYES'the prestigious Nottingham Arena'

He's going to be very difficult to beat, isn't he?Originally posted by SHBI'm not convinced by Froch. Capable of utter genius, but half the time he looks club level. The guy has a solid chin, good reflexes, awkward style, damaging hitter, and his right hand in his equaliser. I'm sure he struggles to get motivated for most of his opponents (having been the first British fighter ever to win a medal at the senior world championships), but I've never seen him tired in a fight and he's never ever been on the deck (not even in the gym), there is more to come out of him, trust me.Comment

All true and maybe that's why he doesn't look up to much some of the time (the same can be said for a lot of others). Don't get me wrong, he'd give anyone a fight but I'm just not sure until he goes in against one of the best. I'm surprised it hasn't happened to date to be honest.Originally posted by GEOFFHAYESHe's going to be very difficult to beat, isn't he?

It's a shame Calzaghe wasn't a few years younger. That could be a right tear up in a couple of years time. It wouldn't be right now.Comment

So could most of his opponents.Originally posted by GEOFFHAYESFroch is a very dangerous fight for Joe IMO. Trust me, Froch can PUNCH.
Joe doesn't need him.
