The ****** keyboard warriors who know nothing about boxing are very quick to diminish the credibility of a man who is not well known. Bika may not be a household name, but he is a good fighter and proved it against Beyer. Calzaghe's choice of Bika has more to do with shortsighted management than the pursuit of easy fights.

Beyer has reached the end of the road, this will probably be his last fight. It should be a tailor-made match-up for Kessler
but calzaghe fell into this catagory against lacy and lacy lost

I was watching the fight with half an eye. Beyer's performance was certainly not impressive. But i don't agree that Bika was dominating Beyer. It was pretty even. But i've seen quite a few ppl (not germans) having scored it with Beyer slightly ahead.
So it's not all that surpricing that close rounds are scored for the champ fighting at home. Would have happened in UK or US as well.

i think calz has a serious fight on his hands, bika throws plenty of **** from all angles
Well Bika may be underrated. But which ever way you put it, this is not the kind of opponent we wanna see Calzaghe take on with only a few fights left and after the way he handled Lacy.

i also think kessler would be a joke if he loses to beyer, waaay over rated, cos beyer looked **** in this fight he just ran
Absolutely. If Kessler doesn't win he simply isn't the fighter some of us thought he was.
Beyer will probably put in a much better performance against Kessler than against Bika. There's a pattern of Beyer looking poor against lesser opposition - and then stepping up his game when it really matters (Beyer-Green II is an exaple).
The fight might be closer than i expect. But if Kessler doesn't win, i'll be eating crow for months and you can disregard whatever i've said about Kessler's qualities.

Yeah but Kessler isn't Lacy, and Beyer isn't Calzaghe.

Not saying there's no chance at all of an upset. It's boxing - freakish things can happen. Kessler May see "the light" between the fist and the second round and suddently decide that turning the other cheek is the right thing to do.

But outside such things happening, Beyer's chances are slim.

I am German myself and agree a lot of decisions were just not right, IMO.
But Schulz - Foreman, Sturm - De La Hoya, .... never forget. Happens everywhere.

In all fairness, it's not that Germans are biased, it's the judging and most of the judges have not been German. Hell.....German fans know a bad decision when they see it. They were quite upset when Valuev got the decision over Larry Donald.

The point is you know ZERO about Bika, so just say you know ZERO about Bika instead of saying "it doesnt matter" (it doenst matter that you have either a)seen a guy fight or b) not seen him fight..either way your saying it doesnt matter?)

Did you know who Manny Pacquaio was when reigning defending champ Lehlo Ledwaba decided to give the small unknown phillipino a shot? It doenst matter.

What did you know of Ricardo Mayorga when he got his shot at champ Andrew Lewis? It doesnt matter.

Who had heard of Oktay Urkal when Kostya Tszyu was ordered to fight him as a mandatory? Like you said it doesnt matter.

How versed were you with Gerald McClellan when he took on KO king Julian Jackson? I know I know it doesnt matter.

Never know what your gonna get Fuego and in this case you certainly have no clue what your getting in Bika...neither do I so lets sit back relax and watch the ****ing fight.

you're right. I just feel a fighter as good at his trade as Calzaghe is needs to fight name opponents even if they aren't good names. I was fine with all of Mayweather's fights other than that Bruseles **** because I knew the opponents.
