Does anyone know what happened to the second fight between Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr? I herd it was supposed to be on March 11th but i havent been able to find the results of it on google, i just keep getting things talking about how the fight is on...... so if anyone knows how it went down (if it did) plz get back to me on it

There were suppossed to fight in March, then as usual they argued about money and Hopkins went with Tarver in June.

HBO wasnt giving out the money for those two. they were agreed with their money split but HBO didnt throw enough money to do that fight so they called it off so than hops went after tarver bc thats where the money was.

they were supposedly scheduled to fight earlier this year. but somebody priced themselves out (probly jones) and the fight fell apart. so hopkins fought and beat tarver, and jones took some time off.

there is no doubt in my mind that had the fight taken place this year, hopkins would've destroyed jones.

hopkins had a chance to fight roy after he beat trinidad..but he was scared AT THAT TIME to move up in weight..so he stayed @ 160 and call out blown up lightweights like mosley and de la hoya..roy would have probably KO'D hopkins if they fought back in 01

The money problem had alot to do with it.
I think Hopkins had a point when he said he deserved 50/50 after the middle weight tournament. If Hopkins hadn't accomplished anything and just wanted to fight Roy, then it would've made sense for Roy to not want to give him a 50/50 split.
Roy really wanted the big money fight with Tito Trinidad, by the way.
Big money, low risk...story of his career.
