You can't really criticize someone for fighting someone older unless it would be known in advance that it was a total mismatch. Some of those grandpas almost beat Rocky.

Ali was at fault for not quitting sooner. Larry was at fault for not preparing more.

I am not sure what to say...should I say "That's sad" or "Way to go gramps"?

They were past their primes. That doesn't make them bums or shot fighters. They were the top fighters of that time.

            No offense, RHH, but...

I'm assuming you're talking about their rematch, yes?

If so, all your post says here is that you've never actually seen the fight, because if you did then you'll know that Charles took a pretty bad beating in that one and maybe...maybe won one round out of the seven completed rounds that were fought in that one.

Tyson did it to Larry Holmes, but Larry deserved it, he beat up Grandpa Ali who was suffering from Parkinson disease, and if you don't know, Tyson's favorite fighter is Ali.

In the name of the Grandpas, I wish Rocky would of met Grandpa George...Grandpa George would of served him

Who else have beaten up their elders?

Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore all lobbied for the fight against Rock Marciano. As a matter of fact Archie Moore was on a 21 fight winning streak and even beat the number one contender Nino Valdes for the right to fight Marciano. Although Louis had seen better days, he was dangerous in the first few rounds, but Moore and Charles put up a decent showing against Marciano. If it had not been for Marcian's relentless training and inhuman stamina, Moore, Charles and Louis may well have beaten him. His talent and skills (or lack of them) were not even in their league.

yup, Marciano did well in remtaches: he beat the **** out of Charles, Walcott, and LaStarza, fights weren't even close the 2nd time around.
