    Sick of the Barrera-bashing

im not gonna lie, im gettin sick of idiots on this board talking about how "barrera didnt come to fight" "he was too scared to go toe to toe" "if he woulda stood and fight he woulda lost"...

you might as well just say it: "if barrera had stood still and let juarez hit him with left hooks until he fell down, juarez wouldve won the fight."

ok, so barrera was on his bike. maybe if juarez had tried something like, getting on the inside, cutting off the ring, or the techniques most multi-dimensional fighters use when theyre fighting someone in pure boxing mode, then he wouldve made a fight out of it.

i dont care that you spent 50 dollars to see a fight, and neither should barrera. he's out there to win, not to please a bunch of neanderthal boxing fans who only get pleasure when guys beat the **** out of eachother.

Because the fight was built up as a war. Because Barrera talked **** at the pressers about knocking Rocky out and how he expected the fight to be a war. I think the only reason Oscar gave such a great undercard is because he knew Barrera planned to box.

Ofcourse he said that, thats what he wanted Juarez to think. Strategy starts a long time before the fight. Whats he gonna say, "i'm gonna jab and move so Juarez better practice cutting off the ring and fighting on the inside if he wants to beat me"?

Barrera fought a great, well-planned, strategic fight. I guess he not just a future Hall of Famer for nothing. If people would like to see face bashing and pure killing spree just download some steetfights and stop watching Boxing. "Sweet Science" my friends. This is what they call BOXING. and Barrera is one of the great "SCIENTIST".
This comment is from a PAc fan mind you.

If he wins ugly he wins ugly. The bottom line is he wins. Boxers shouldn't worry about pleasing the fans, their first priority should be winning.

barrera is a warrior and he managed to look good in his retirement fight against a dangerous opponent
thats something most fighters wish to do

I take every bet that Juarez will win the rematch, he will retire Barrera by knockout!!!
