Name one fight that will be remembered for years and years that Floyd was part of.....
i am sure you saw the corrales, ndou, gatti, castillo, chavez fights, that is how you box and break someone down, barrera ran all fight and just jabbed he didn't try to stoip juarez and make a statement he just ran all fight and never engaged. boxing is about fighting

I was going for Juarez, but Barrera totally dominated that fight, and he basicly just stood there and popped the jab to win it. It's Juarez's responsibility to take the fight to the Champ, not the other way around. Rocky had PLENTY of opportunities to take some risks and get in there and slug with Marco, but he chose to be idle and not do anything, even when Barrera was not punching. I know people are dissapointed in the fight and it wasnt exciting, but Barrera's only responsiblity is to win the fight. He is one of the best boxers out there and he gave Rocky a boxing lesson. His footwork was far superior and his jab was nice and crisp. Rocky did not pressure enough to get Barrera to exchange, who is ALWAYS happy to counter any resistance that is brought to him. So really its not Marco's fault its ROcky's fault for not making it a competative fight. What, is Marco supposed to just sit there and let you hit him just for the sake of it? I love Rocky but I think he needs to improve his style a little bit. He's far too passive and really needs to get some new life blood in his training. Good job to Barrera and good luck with Pacman!

question: what's stopping him from attacking? i don't know what his gameplan was.

what dows mexican independence day have to do with how a person chooses to box. He won, convincingly with a gameplan. The fact that it was mexican independence day shouldn't mean anything when it comes to defeating your opponent.

No, you misunderstood. The title i wrote was out of hate, but I enjoyed the main event as i enjoyed the other fights. I thought it was a very entertaining fight. ****en Barrera, hes a great fighter, their no doubt. I thought he was done, but now i know better. I just miss the old Barrera i used to watch. But hes got all around skills now. I was pissed off, but i got in car took a drive down the freeway, did some 130mph runs, and shook off my anger. I was really rooting for Rocky, and felt it was a close fight, even closer then their first fight, but Barrera stold some rounds. I know Rocky will be back.

well said. i mean what do people want barrera to do, risk brawling with juarez and get KO'd?? drop his hands so juarez can have a chance of hitting him??? i mean barrera and juarez gave us a good fight last time and barrera has given us great fights in the past throughout his career, people need to remember that....barrera owes us NOTHING!! he has already secured his legacy and you need to realize this is not the same barrera who was JUST a brawler in the mid-to late 90' and the early part of of the year 2000.

barrera is a different fighter now and he is preserving himself and all the wars and hard fights he has had is bound to take a toll on him physically, he probably cant take the same amoun o punishment that he used to which is why he is a diffeent fighter, he is more of a boxer now and if fans expect to see barrera brawl for most of his fights then they will be dissapointed. barrera hardly throws his left hook to the body anymore, which indicates to me he has changed his fighting style, that used to be barreras favourite and best punch, he rarely uses it now like he used too, back in the day he used to rip your body with his left hook constantly and apply pressure, but thats not him anymore.
