It's the heavyweight division, anyone can lose at any given time. What I like about Vitali is that he is not arrogant and he will train hard for whoever his opponent may be. He is not your typical heavyweight champion (Lewis, Tyson, Douglas, Rahman, Bowe etc) who takes their opponent lightly and does not train for the fight properly.

wouldnt of mattered if hed trained for rahman lewis 2 or not.
lewis was so good he just took a very limited fighter apart in a most dominating performance.
i doubt any hw at that time would of beaten him.

If danny comes with the right mind-set and comes in at a weight where he is light enough to be able to move around the ring quickly and big enough to be able to tie up vitali when needed then hes got a chance. It's not hard to catch vitali, but the way to beat him is when you hit vitali make the punch count and then quickly tie him up before he can land his bomb. Williams strategy should be to make vit miss and tire him out n only go for single power punches then move out of range. This will mean that williams will lose the first 5 odd rounds as he wont have thrown as much as vitali (only the occasional power punch) but atleast by then he will have cut vits fragile skin up and will have tired him out. After that he can put the combos together and take vit outta there.
Having said that, Vit has a huge height advantage so its easier said than done.

Don't get me wrong, I hate Tyson but I need to be realistic, after Tyson injured his knee he did not have the same power in his punches and could not pivot properly. Williams needs to come in lighter than 265 because he will fall the way Kirk Johnson fell against Vitali. If he comes in at 240-250 then his quickness can work for him.
