He was hurt badly in his fight with Jirov, Mesi was out on his feet for 2 rounds. If the fight was a 12 round fight he could be in even more serious trouble than he is today. It takes years for fighters to get over a beating like that.

IMO, Joe Mesi should stop fighting all together. In his recent outtings he hasn't looked like the fighter he once was. It's a shame because I made sure I saw every fight he had. He's just going to get hurt if he continues.

I think that Mesi's people are thinking the same thing after struggling in his last fight couple of fights. Mentally, he's not the same fighter he was before his injury. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
