In his last fight with the 1st round knockout, wasn't Barrios 15 or 17 lbs over 130lbs came fight night? I'm pretty sure because I remember being shocked at his size and when they mentioned his weight. He's like a hispanic Gatti, oh wait, that's Cotto. Eitherway, I see this being Barrios last fight at 130lbs. He'll be moving up to 135lbs, and good, he can get that rematch from Freitas.

Barrios is a hypocrite. He won the title when Mike Anchondo came in overweight for their fight. He fought him anyway, but called him unprofessional and bad for boxing. Now he goes and does the same thing. The guy is exciting, but I just lost a lot of respect for him.

i agree with the zero tolerance for not making weight, but you have to realize that they are doing what is necessary to punish barrios. stripping him of his belt and fining him, plus guzman and his team settled on terms to agree to have the fight continue, terms unknown to us. hopefully benefiting him well, i hope for his sake at least.

but one thing i can say and i know it's minor but it's at least to the credit and crediblity to barrios, is that he did try and lose the weight, instead of coming back heaveier than his first attempt, so you know he tried to lose the weight unlike castillo.

true, and good point, it does take some wind out of my sails when it comes to barrios, but i do like the guy, he's just too big for the weight class and now more than ever it's obvious. good point.
