I dont think he is past his best. Was there ever a best? I mean the Ndou fight was good but he was fighting tomato cans before that. This might be the kick in the ass for him to step it up. No more boring European style defences from now on.
Witter is whooping Corley

I am made up for witter, he has waited a long time for this chance.I had him a clear winner at 118-111,but to be honest that was one of the worst clash of styles ive seen in a fight for ages and definately not a world title fight to remember.
But i do think Witter looked pretty sharp in spells and looked good in defence,he will be tough to beat. imo.Comment

Witter had such a bizarre style at times tonight, where he was kind of using his arm stuck up at an angle
- Corley didn't know what to make of it!
There wasn't a huge ammount of action, Witter always looked a step ahead whereas Corley seemed to have developed sparring partner mentality or maybe he was confused by Witter's very unorthodox style. Witter landed the heavier punches and was sharper, Corley never troubled him and only Witter being lazy in the middle rounds allowed Corley to win a couple of rounds.
The fact that Corley is southpaw and Witter orthodox caused a few tangles with both falling to the canvas, to confuse the styles more Witter in some rounds switched repeatedly between southpaw and orthodox. Witter out-landed Corley most rounds but neither fighter threw a lot of punches, both respected the others power and didn't want to lead for fear of being countered.Comment
