    Briggs Looks To KO Liakhovich

NEW YORK – With all four world heavyweight champions hailing from the former Soviet Union, much has been made of America’s lack of heavyweight mettle. Can Brooklyn’s Shannon “The Cannon” Briggs crash the Eastern-bloc party when he challenges World Boxing Organization (WBO) heavyweight titleholder Sergei “The White Wolf” Liakhovich on Saturday, Nov. 4? The only thing Briggs will be looking at is how to put his mouth piece in after getting KTFO.

thats the only chance briggs has IMO. If he doesnt knock Sergei out within the first 5 rounds, he is toast.

I don't care what anyone thinks, I like this fight. I think it's a good match up and it's going to be entertaining. both fighters can **** and both have heart, tons of it. there is no reason why this shouldn't be a good fight. I want Briggs to bring home the belt but I like Liakhovich because he has tons of heart and is willing to go through hell to win. Briggs is looking for the elusive championship that he's always wanted, so it ought to be a solid scrap, better than about 85% of other Heavyweight match ups.

Briggs only has decent handspeed and a big punch. As someone already said, if this fight goes more than 5 rounds, Briggs is finished.
