i mean, all i hear on here is people talking about how great winky is (i agree
) but how horribly boring he is to watch.
Sure, Taylor-Wright 1 was the most exciting middleweight title fight in, like, the last 5 years. but it was only for a few reasons:
-Taylor isnt the smartest guy in that ring, so he ignored steward and decided to fight with his back to the ropes. it made for a wildley exciting fight with some amazing action
-Winky never backed off, and never let his hands down after repeated shots to his forearms. This encouraged taylor to slam shots off of winky's guard. since he was throwing punches all the time, it was another reason why this fight was so great
-and finally, Jermain Taylor is an arrogant fool in the ring and decided to ignore all remarks from hall of fame trainer EMANUEL STEWARD. he made his own ****** choices in that ring, which made the fight even better
I'll tell u right now why TAYLOR-WRIGHT II will not be an entertaining fight:
-Steward is gonna train taylor to stop fighting of the ropes, where winky was clearly able to dominate the fight. Steward will also train Taylor how to switch sides while he's on the ropes. This will force the fight to center-ring, where the fight will not be as entertaining
-Winky Wright may (or may not, depends on his gameplan) spend a lot of time trying to corner taylor. if he learned anything last time, it was that he dominated when he cornered taylor. But with Taylor avoiding ht corners, the fight will become a chess match with Winky Wright chasing Taylor around the ring and picking his spots to carefully.
Me being a winky fan, would love to see this fight. but i dont get why u would want to see this fight if u DONT like winky.
A rematch, IMO, has a much better chance of being boring then it does of being entertaining.
I wanna see this fight because there is unfinished business, and the #2 p4p fighter in the world should be holding those god damn belts!
