Liston at his best was a pure force and very underrated in his prime. He walked through HUGE punching Cleveland Williams and took him out in shocking fashion. I think he was much more dangerous than Lewis, who was always vulnerable to a big punch and was hittable, despite what anyone says. Lewis was good when he fought smart and focused, but against a speeder puncher who could capitalize on his lapses and just plain laziness, he could be taken out violently.

    I'd go with.

    1. Ali
    2. Louis
    3. Liston
    4. Tyson
    5. Dempsey
    6. Holmes
    7. Marciano
    8. Frazier
    9. Lewis
    10.Jeffries

This is just off the top of my head. I could switch Marciano and Frazier around really. Both are kind of neck and neck in my mind.

Fair enough, but you have to remember that LL was at his best when he was FEARFUL. Liston would no doubt strike fear into his heart, and the alarm bells would be ringing about the man in front of him.

I doubt he would get Lazy against any of these guys in my list, -that's why I rank him so highly.

You guys are nuts. Rocky Marciano was a great fighter in his time, but at 185 pounds he would have big problems beating any of the top 20 today. Even Roy Jones needed 201 pounds to do it.

Jack Dempsey would be similarly at a big disadvantage.

Haaaaaaaaa, the Mike Tyson punchout picture is hilarious. Now only if you could get him to bite and tackle his opponents at the weigh in.

How long have you been watching boxing ? I like Brewster but a lot of fighters would have beat him also Ike didn't have time to prove himself .
