    Clarifying Mayweather-De La Hoya

Need some insight - why is Golden Boy willing to pay Mayweather so much scratch? $20 mil is Wall St. stock option cash, less you're Oscar himself, or, Lennox Lewis coming out of retirement.

Is DLH talking about potentially meeting Trinidad instead because that's real, or is it brinksmanship to make sure Floyd behaves in negotiations? What the hell is there to negotiate when $20 mil is on the table?

Shane didn't get anywhere near that cake and beat the dude twice.

I am under the impression, despite the ***********al history between Jr. and Sr., that DLH and Schaeffer have designs on bringing Mayweather into the partnership fold as they have Hopkins, Barrera, Shane and Winky, once De La Hoya
is done for good. What do you guys think?

I tend to think they want to bring floyd in

I am not sure it is going to be a good idea, though

his lifestyle and companies and troubles outside of the ring, make him a time bomb.

    BUT

it must be said that so far he is been nothing but business, when it comes to his job

Mosley was offered 8 figures for a third fight, which he turned down because De La Hoya was getting so much more, and Mosley felt he should be getting more because he beat him twice.

I couldn't have agreed more on Mosley here. Damn, he beat the guy twice and yet DLH is receiving so much more on the rubber match?

****, that's "OSCAR the businessman" for you.

DLH is DLH, he's alway gonna be the bigger draw, you think people bought the Mayorga fight to see Mayorga? I doubt it. I do think that 20 mil is more then enough for PBF, anything less tho would be real ****ed up tho considering how much DLH would make as the promoter & star fighter

Especially since money is the last thing De La Hoya needs, with his rich ass.

If they fight i don't want to see Mayweather Sr. train him, in my mind their will not be a 100 percent effort by Mayweather Sr. training Delahoya for this fight.

Mayweather doesn't deserve the 20 mil, had he fought Margarito their'd be no doubt who the best welterweight is. Delahoya defeating Mayweather would make it unfished busniss at welterweight, cause Delahoya can't say he beat the best welterweight in Mayweather untill Mayweather fights Margarito.

In one of the latest issues of Ring, they estimated there to be Fifty Million in purse money to be split.

They're thinking this could do between a Million and even as high as 2 Million PPV buys.

This fight would be one of the biggest money fights of this decade.

Oscar's swan song agaisnt the #1 pound for pound fighter. That will sell.
