Jerson Ravelo gets his shot! To face Allan Green on ESPN!

This is great news. I was first informed that this fight would be on the undercard of the Andre Berto BAD on Oct. 14, but instead its going to be on ESPN2, a Contender Special. The fight will take place on the undercard of Peter Manfredo-Joey Spina. The venue is The Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Its a ***** because I knew about this fight for days and had to be quiet til it was official, only to have The Contender leak it to some ********** news source. Oh well, I will be releasing an article with statements from all of the parties in the next day or so. In the meantime, check out my interview with Ravelo from yesterday.

I am predicting, knowing both fighters well, that Ravelo will stop Green in eight rounds.

Hell yeah, and Ravelo deserves this shot. Its gonna be a tough fight, with both of these guys being former National Golden Gloves champions and hungrier than ever before. Both men have something to prove, it's going to be a great fight.

I just got off the phone with Jerson and he's very excited about this fight. He said this is gonna be an all action fight because they both come to fight. I'm going to stop by his gym Saturday to watch him train, then he's off to train in Miami on Monday. Stay tuned for updates on this fight.

Thats exactly what Jerson told me. I think its because its in Rhode Island, where Manfredo's from. The main event is ehh, because on the real Joey Spina can't fight.
