Big time kudos to Taylor for this.

It's great to see him say this, and now that it's out there and everybody knows, it will be VERY hard for DiBella to justify going through with the November 25 Ouma fight. His own guy doesn't want the "easy" fight, and his own guy doesn't want the homecoming fight, he wants the REAL fight. Good for him.

I have never been a Taylor fan, mostly because I believe he was paved a golden road to a title shot vs. Hopkins and then got a generous decision in a fight I believe he lost. Then he got a closer decision in the rematch and followed that up with a draw vs. Winky in a fight I believe Winky won. So, I have him at 0-3 in his last three, 0-2-1 at best (with the Hopkins rematch being the draw).

Moreover, he was given the title shot vs. Hopkins via Hopkins' desire to fight the best available opponent (in this case HBO's chosen Olympic hero). Taylor had no choice but to take the rematch (contractually obligated) and was also forced to fight Winky by the WBC (immediate mandatory enforced). Until now, he really hasn't CHOSEN to take all these tough fights a.s.a.p.

Nevertheless, he quiets ME with this decision, where he is rebelling against his promoter and demanding the toughest fight against the best opponent. I applaud him, and I hope this comes off.

Hats off to Jermain Taylor, now an honorable--if not undisputed--middleweight champion of the world.

I hope this fight happens, if any fight deserved a rematch it was the first fight between them.

Jermaine Taylor needs to win by KO if he wants any respect from me.
I'm disgusted by this kid and his inability to KO people, but I like his attitude...It's hard to hate a guy with an attitude like that. Even if he did beat one of my favorite fighters (Hopkins).

at first i really hate taylor for no reason. But when i see him fight and fight only the best that makes him one of my favorite. i like winky though

I heard Winky isnt interested in a rematch. However that was in the heat of the moment, just after the fight when he got pissed with the whole post fight press conference thing.

You can't blast a guy because he couldn't KO Hopkins or Winky. Nobody has ever done that to either man.

Too many stories on this. I read on another website that Taylor-Ouma is already signed. Another site had Taylor-Mora already signed. Now Taylor wants Wright......but Wright supp has a done deal fight with Quartey for December.

I guess you're right about Hopkins.
He should've blew Winky out of the water, though. The style Winky fought made it very possible for Taylor to do that.

Winky wasnt emotional after the fight when he told that. He felt that he was robbed.

But couple of times i heard he is preparing to fight Taylor for 2nd time
