Wow would that ever be a solid fight. They'd both be swinging the entire time.

Sign me up for that one.

That would be one more war Barrera could probably do without.

I don't think Barrera ever held the main 122 world title, but he was recognized as the best 122 pounder at the time. Back then Barrera didn't care for the other belts because they never gave him a title shot when he was at the lighter weights. He's only held two main title at two weight classes. lightweight and jr. lightweight.

Jesus Chavez is a fighter with a hell of alot of heart as seen in the Morales fight but Juan Diaz is a punching machine he dont stop and I think he as way too much for Chavez (Not Julio Cesar tho )

Chavez is a punching machine too. but not like Daiz he has less punchs but more power.

another thing I think they will not fight because they train in the same boxing club and have the same trainer.

                  Ferocity-

Barrera has held 3 titles in 3 weight divisions along with Morales ands Chavez. He was going for 4 against Chavez. Im pretty sure about this because they were talking about it a lot before the Chavez fight.

Barrera won the WBO Superbantamweight belt(122) when he fought Daniel Jiminez

Barrera won the IBO Featherweight belt(126) when he beat Naseem Hamed

Barrera won WBC Super Featherweight belt(130) when he beat Erik Morales the second time.

Jesus Chavez would have been a Lightweight title fight at 135 for Barrera's 4th world title in a 4th weight division. If he won he would have been the forst Mexican to ever accomlish that. I think Barrera had a very good chance of winning. That would have been a great fight.
