It's pretty bad when you get warned by the ref every time you punch your opponent

james "the heat" kinchen vs. thomas"the hitman" hearns(1988) ....james kinchen was a fill in for hearns' original opponent fulgencio obelmejias who withdrew from the fight because of injury.... what a lop sided fight for james....kinchen whooped tommy's ass all night long.... i have never seen a fighter get beat so badly(hearns) and come away with a decision..... there were a couple of rounds that should have been scored 10-8 because james hurt tommy so bad that tommy began holding on to james just so he wouldn't hit the deck,he held on so tight the ref (mills lane)couldn't break them no matter how hard he tried, i was waiting for someone to toss the jaws of life into the ring so lane could use them to seperate the fighters.this happend a few times through-out the fight where tommy was hurt so badly that he would just hold on despite the refs warnings....it was a pathetic display by hearns. with-out this victory for hearns there would not have been a hearns-leonard mega fight rematch.

frankie "the surgeon" randel vs. julio cesar chavez(rematch). although it was stopped early because of a cut on chavez's face i still think frankie "the surgeon" randel beat chavez up enough to earn a decision, but 2 losses in a row for chavez was asking to much, hell they tried to take the first fight from him(randel).
