Peter has never KOed a top opponent...
Most his big fight go to the score cards...

I don't know much about Valuev, but I saw a clip of his fight with Donald and Donald landed a number of very clean and powerful combos, and Valuev took 'em like nothing...

I'll go with Valuev to get a very close decision

I really have a hard time seeing Wlad unifying with any of King's fighters...
Bottom line, King want rights and Wlad won't give him any.

Remember there was a problem scheduling the Byrd fight until Byrd became a free agent.

I'll put a suck in my mouth if I'm wrong, but I just don't see it as happening.

Valuev would win; probably on points.

If Peter doesn't have it in him to "Foreman" a clever former-middlweight, he doesn't have it in him to figure out how to get past Valuev's freakish reach.

Peter will knock the living piss out of that big stationary mofo......Plus Valuev seems like a pretty light hitter for his size.....

First things first, Peter has to get by Maskaev before thinking about a future fight with Valuev. Oleg has proven to be a formitable opponent and if he's focused and trains properly he's likely to upset Peter.

I agree to a point. I think a lot of people are underrating maskeav becuz of his meltdown period when he was stopped by k johnson..sanders and whitaker in successive fights. he seemed mentally down at that point and has rebounded. that said,,,he definitely has some flaws particularly defensively and this will be a problem with peter. but maskeav has the big experience advantage and is a better boxer and throws his punches shorter. I'd favor the younger peter to eventually stop maskeav but it sure wouldnt shock me if maskeav wins a decision

Judging by Valuev's lack of credible opponents since winning the title from Ruiz, I really don't think this fight is on the horizon. I think you have a better chance of seeing Evander Holyfield contend for the WBA title next year than any dangerous or deserving opponents.
