Well, I would agree; but for one thing....Don King. You see, Don wants power and he gets that by making all fighters taking on his fighters to sign over a few of their fights to him, correct. Since Wlad will never agree to such stipulations, Wlad will never be able to be "THEE" world champ because Don controls Liakhovich, Valuev, and should Peter beat Maskaev..well, you get the idea.

...and I'll take it one step further. Liakhovich could conceivably beat Wladimir. Wlad's got weaknesses; he's no god.

absolutely. every fighter has weaknesses. no exceptions to this rule.
lyakhovich could possibly beat wladimir. however, a properly prepared klitschko, as far as his progression seems to be going, would be one hell of a task for anyone. that's why fighters like toney will not fight him even for 1.5 mil and a major plus a minor belt.

i certainly think that wladimir is getting more skillfull, even though it is hard to imagine his offence gaining more skills. he has seemed to have added an inside game that he only momentarily presented in the byrd rematch. and in that moment of inside pressure, he beat the **** out of byrd without backing off even a step.

his defensive gaps are closing and he is looking much better, at least from what i can deduce from his fight after facing one of the most dangerous sluggers in peter. and remember, peter had a point deducted in his fight with toney - that type of reffing would've added to klitschko somewhere near 5 or 6 point deductions in his fight with peter. ****, the right ref would've likely stopped the fight if sam had kept that **** up as he did.

wladimir is no boxing god, but neither is anyone else.

K-DOGG brother King has no part of Peter. Peter is owned 20% by the ******* snorting Duva and 80% by a wall street investor who I forgot his name. The guy paid Duva 800K for Peter's rights. Anyways,as for the man that will eventually unfiy. Alexander Povetkin. I say this due to Povetkin already having broad appeal by fans in Russia, Germany, U.K., and here in the states. Povetkin is also the golden boy of Sauerland and Wilfried will not let King get any grasp on Sasha. Povetkin doesn't need promotional help to get a title shot, Povetkin will earn it in the rin or make a champion give up their belt because of fear. Povetkin has an exciting style that Wlad doesn't and has less technical errors and more power than Liakhovich. I believe it will take someone like Povetkin to bring notoriety back to the heavyweights and bring mass appeal back to the sport.

Politics (and greed in the various alphabet organizations) is going to make it hard to get a unified heavyweight champion. I suppose of the current group of champions, Wladimir is the most likely to unify but whether that happens remains to be seen. It could be the next heavyweight CHAMPION is still way below the radar or may not even be fighting yet.

Do you have any Povetkin fights, preferably recent ones?
Is Povetkin a better prospect than Boytsov?
