Why does James Toney mumble

No he has'nt taken a WHOLE lot of punishment, But all the while he's been getting hit by L heavys, Cruisers and of late heavys. What Im saying is he does get hit and sometimes clean, He has such a great chin it seems like the punches have'nt even landed! It's mostly the heavy weight punches that have taken their toll a little! Though I don't think it's anything to worry about

That was a perfect temple shot from peter which would've knocked out any other heavyweight, I was surprised Toney came back a few minute later and hurt Peter after that shot.

I think he mumbles bc he has taken too many punches. Small heavyweights tend to end up punch drunk. petterson, Quarry, Frazier to a degree. I don't like what I am hearing from Toney at aoll. I like him, and he has made a ton of money. he should get out pretty soon, or at least take 6 mos off. ironically Holyfield sounds better than he did three years ago, I think the rest did him some good.

Check the ESPN interview if you think James mumbles, he does not mumble at all.

James is not slow like many other fighters, if you ever see Toney in person, you will see he does not mumble.

he was mumbling very very badly at the press conference. The video is on the front page if you don't believe me. Most likely he had a mild concussion after taking a few bombs plus he was exhausted, so I doubt it is permanent. I hope it is not, the guy is my favorite fighter and by the way I have posted a bunch since saturday noting i think he clearly won the boxing match. He sounded fine before the fight, but his speech has slowed since the 90's.

His speech is allot like Ali in 1971 versus 1975-76. Ali's speech had started to slow and Toney's clearly has.

I hope to God the press conference, which was painful, was due to fatigue and a tough fight.

you ever get into a regular ol street fight? know how they last like 30 seconds and then both people are breathing nonstop for 5 mins ... well toney fought for 36 mins lmao so i can imagein he was probably tired

then agian you wouldnt know nothing about that beings that your not much of a fighter yourself
