Honestly, I wish Fight Night 4 would be built as a more realistic boxing game, more like Madden.

I want to be able to play as a trainer/manager, scouting opponents, setting up a training regimen tailored to the upcoming opponent, hiring sparring partners to emulate the upcoming opponent, having to deal with promoters, both honest (as if) and crooked.

I want to be able to schedule matches on XBox Live, and have them incorporate a ranking system and allow you to work your way up the ranks until you fight for the championship of your weight class.
Damage taken in fights should have a cumulative effect. If you are cut badly in a fight, and you fight again too soon with that fighter, he should be more prone to cutting. If you get cut a lot in your career, you should become easier to cut as your career progresses.

I would love a Fighter's Perspective, like you get when you fight your rival at the weigh-in, or they hit you with a Stun punch.

When you play as a manager/trainer, you should have several fighters to work with, and you should be able to play the fighter when you fight.

That's the boxing game I want.

Is fight night round 4 already in the works?
I think they should just add a few fighters to the current ones, but the most important thing is the make improvements with the gameplay and make it even more realistic and harder.

fix the game, and by that i mean fix the game mechanics, damn easports n theyre releasing the same game with just a few new features, but yeah, alot more classic boxers from diffrent weight divisions should be on the new one, tommy hearns was mentioned, i thought he would b a good addition, as would joe louis, ezzard charles, arron pryor, henry armstrong, ernie shavers...but like i said first n foremost fix the actual game...

-Sort out the stats of each fighter
-Sort out the parrying system, because when someone parry's me my arm doesnt rest around my waist for 8 seconds.
-Sort out the fact that P4P ranked fighters arent in the game. Like Mayweather.
-Sort out the graphics to make it look even more realistic.
-Have 1 punch Knock Outs (as in the whole 10 count). Period. Especially when you are Lewis against Barrerra.
-I like that idea of foot speed and hand speed being 2 seperate stats...
-Include more training features... Like skipping? You know one of the most fundamental training elements.
-Allow for more slipping depending on the type of fighter. So for instance, if the fighter is a counterpuncher as you move into range, if they throw a shot there is a 60% chance your man will slip the shot, so when you throw your shot its a counterpunch.
-To balance that^^ have other styles with other advantages. Such as a Power Punch style that could end the fight at any given moment... not just knock them down. But knock em out of the match.
-Sort out the speed of the haymakers please. I dont want the opponent to see when im trying to haymaker their ass. To counter it make even bigger stamina losses on haymakers... so people arent just doing sneaky haymakers all match.
-Allow online play in Europe, you cheap bastards.
-Have better entrances, and animations. When you win a belt, allow that to be worn on entrance.
-Develop the whole **** talking part of the game. So the press conference idea, but on a larger and better scale.
-Like Vb Martin said, broaden the career a whole lot more. More real fighters, more management involved. More strategy basically... Because once you reach a point where your boxing is good enough (which is usually after the first match), you should be limited by your ability to manage your fighter with all the promotors/managers/trainers blah blah. If you cant manage, basically you lose regardless of ability to knock Rocky Marciano out with Manny Pacquiao in the first round.

Exactly... so they need a few more parameters now. Its ****ing pointless being able to knock Jake Lamotta with Erik Morales. Introduce more of a management slant, is what I support.

Like I said, if you are in a much higher weightclass, you need to be able to 1 punch KO your opponent. Because basically that is what would happen if a heavyweight landed a bomb on a featherweight.
