Do You Dislike Sam Peter?

There is really nothing to dislike about Sam Peter as a fighter. The fight outcome was more about the sport of boxing 'powers that be' wanting younger boxers as champions to represent the sport.. I think Peter will become champion soon and will look back at this fight as a much needed learning experience.

i dislike him because he cant control his weight, which means that being champ is not all that important to him. for the record i dislike any heavyweight that doesent control their weight, its a joke.

james toney, shannon briggs, brewtser lost cause he came in out of shape, these guys just disgrace themselves, they dont do anything cept fight 2 or 3 times a year, its really not that hard to get into good shape in 2 months time. id be willing to bet that if i tried hard and ate right i could lose 30 pounds in 2 months pretty easily and im not overweight in the first place like these guys.

this is problem with guys like them, i dont eat very good, i dont train for a boxing match daily. i am 6'4 and i weight 230 pounds and i consider myself about 10 pounds over what would be good for me. so i find it di****able that a guy like toney who is 7 inches shorter than me can weigh in for a fight at a weight greater than mine, it just doesent make any sense for him to knowingly reduce his chances of winning for really no apparent reason.

i will say though that james toneys mom makes some good pies, she sells them here in ann arbor at the farmers market, so i guess from a young age james was predisposed to eating unhealthy treats.

hate and dislike are two different things

i certainly dont hate james toney, but i dislike him for his approach to training and his apathy about his weight.

it just bugs me to watch a guy fight (who knows better) who could clearly be fighting on a higher level.
