Allan Green = The Next Jeff Lacy

He knocked Linton down, but it ****ing obvious that the guy can't even go 12 rounds. He gassed out in the seventh after trying to KO Linton. OK, he won UD. The guy repeat can not fight Joe Calzaghe now. I don't know what it is with these young fighters like Taylor and Green but they all have stamina problems. You'd think that they have the edge in stamina. IF Green fought Joe Calzaghe, he'd be beaten to a bloody pulp. Green shouldn't get on his own hype train this fast, he should really take some twelve round fights and get used to fight that long

First Lacy and the next American hype flop in SMW will be Allan Green. All of them had much bigger mouths and hypes then their actual talents and boxing skills. Why do Americans boxers always hype themselves before they had proved something? –and why do American boxing fans always believe in their **** talking? Lacy fooled almost the whole American boxing scene. Stick to the old school and keep you mouth shot until you are actually sure that you are world-class.

The biggest thing about Green to me is simply his stance.

If he would keep his left hand up, his jab would be quicker and he could throw it from a shorter distance, making it more effective.

Green has never had to go that many rounds more than once, and I think as he progresses and starts going more rounds, his conditioning program will follow suit. He does not have the build of Lacy and seems more built for longer fights.

Still, I like his talent, and for a young guy I have seen him deal with adversity twice in his last three fights and pull it off both times.

Lacy never had to deal with adversity until Calzaghe....and we saw how that went...........no adjustments. Kinda like Tyson vs. Douglas. Don't change....do the same thing and keep losing rounds. Way to go. lol.

Nonetheless, I think with some adjustments in his style, Green can continue to be successful.

Green was lucky as hell to get the decision IMO. Without the KD he shoulda lost. With it he still shoulda lost IMO or gotten a draw. He better stay far far away from Joe Calzaghe if he likes having his head attached to his shoulders. Calzaghe will destroy him, fo sure. Boy that Emmit Linton had some heart and was a gutsy SOB. Don't wanna cause any trouble on his bus

What a load of **** the scores. No doubt in my mind it was a very close fight. There was only a two punch differance between total punches landed. I think Linton landed the cleaner punches

I hope this fight makes all these Allan Green nut huggers take
notice. Green is nothing special! He will be beaten by any top 15
SMW. Top prospect in boxing? My ass!

I posted this on an older thread about Allen Green being just like Lacy being all hype and no real dimensions or versatility ni there game. And while those 2 maybe all hype, don't put Taylor in there with them because Taylor has been in there with the best and was able to beat Hopkins 2wice in Hopkins prime. People say he lost but Im not biased and I can tell that Taylor won most of the earlier rounds of both fights and Hopkins again rallied late. You don't score a fight based on 1 round, you score them for each and every round and in the end whoever one the most wins and I can tell you for a fact that Taylor was the more buiser and more effective than Hopkins in the earlier rounds. If Hopkins fought like he did in the later rounds against Talyor in the beginning rounds then he would have won, but I guess he was too scared to run into one of Taylors power punches while Taylor is still strong in the beginning.
