Does This Loss Hurts James Toney's Legacy?

I don't think it does too much to his legacy. I mean it would have been better if he won obviously, but its not like Peter destroyed him. And most boxing fans(including myself), thought the decision was bull****. Whats do you think?

Any fight Toney loses at Heavyweight doesn't hurt Toneys Legacy as you call it. Because Toney is not a Heavyweight but his talent and toughness allows him to compete at Heavyweight.

No. He was robbed. Montell Griffin all over again.
People will mention how he has received some gifts in his career, though.

I think every fighter experiances this if you stay in boxing long enough.

I would almost say that it improves his legacy because it proves to all the people that he can stand in the ring with one of the best heavyweight punchers and lose a controversial decision.

JAMES TONEY STARTED AT 159 POUNDS AND IS NOW FIGHTING 257 POUND PEOPLE. Please tell me someone else who can do this.

He's still the most skilled fighter of the last 20 years, outside of Mayweather, though.
