oscar de la hoya vs winky wright

I hate to even think about this fight because they are 2 of my favorite fighters.I think Winky would win by UD.I mean if he can beat a faster,slicker Mosley twice and a strong,powerful like like Tito than Oscar falls right in the middle of those two and I just don't see how he could win.Winky is a very tough fighter to beat.I feel that he beat Taylor narrowly and can't be beaten at JMW or MW at this point unless he fights for too long.

Winky, just because he looks better conditioned that De La Hoya. De La Hoya looks old, he showed that he still had his jab going for him in the Mayorga fight, but Winky has a great defense.

it would be much like the Trinidad vs Winky fight but Oscar would get in more punches but it would pretty much be an embarrasing night for the Golden Boy.

There is no way in hell that Winky would dominate this fight. I still think Winky is great but slightly overrated. Alot of his wins are suspect. He beat Mosley twice but thats when Shane was still really small at 154 and he was downright garbage at that time. He had just lost twice to Forrest, looked like crap against Marquez, and most everyone thought he lost to Oscar. Thats not as big as a win as people give Winky credit for. He also beat Tito who had just been retired for 2 years, just got murdered by Hopkins 2 fights ago, and was clearly not anywhere near his prime. He was much slower and less athletic then he was in his prime.

The Taylor fight was good for him but Taylor gets by mostly on size & stregth. Skill wise he doesnt compare to any top fighter, as he is highly uncoordinated. Ive seen Winky look like a average fighter against average guys and he let Soliman almost beat him.

I honestly wouldnt be surprised if Oscar beat him. He's never faced anyone as good and as skilled as Oscar. Shane is made for him as he is too small and one demensional. Oscar would give Winky problems with his overall boxing ability and skill level.

No way that this fight looks like Tito. You think Oscar will stand there and get jabbed to death all night? Oscar knows how to move and Winky would just pick him apart like some amature. I think this fight would go down to the wire and you have to favor Winky but I could easily see Oscar winning

You make alot of interesting points but seriously Winky is a hrad man to beat right now......I don't care who you are....he is a southpaw,great D,great Jab.....It just does not get much more confusing and then you throw in a seemingly great chin although I really have not seen hit really cleanly cracked many times in the last few years and you got a very hard fighter to beat.

Yeah but Oscar is also a Southpaw but he fights righty, he's been in with everyone, and Winky is still flawed. The flaw for Winky is that when you throw, he always covers up. Like Teddy Atlas always says, you can handcuff him because when you throw, he will stay on his backfoot and keep his hands up on D the whole time.

All Oscar has to do is fire shots and back out before Winky comes back. Oscar will be by far the smartest guy Winky's ever been in with, he is solid at 154, is faster then Winky, has great power, and just knows how to fight. Oscar has never beed dominated. He was even hanging with X until it got too much for him but he shouldve never been at 160.

No way Winky dominates Oscar. Oscar would never let that happened. He has been there and done that way too much. Oscar is a very skillful fighter but just his intagibles alone would give Winky problems. He is very smart, always has a great game plan, and can adjust during the fight. I would love to see it
