Hatton giving up WBA title!
Ricky Hatton has decided to relinquish his third world title. The 'Hitman' will now go back to the 140lb division to challenge IBF jr welterweight champion Juan Urango for his old title in December. With a win over Urango, a pay-per-view clash against former lightweight star Jose Luis Castillo looms early next year. "We are going after Ricky's old title and although we don't want to pre-empt things, the defining fight we want is the one against Castillo," Hatton's co-promoter Dennis Hobson told ITV. "We have already opened talks with Castillo's promoter Bob Arum and we are confident we can make that fight for around April time. Ricky is in a very lucrative position at the moment."
