Chances of Hatton vs PBF ever fighting

I think the chances of them fighting now are extremely poor. Hatton is going back down to jrWW for atleast 2 fights and PBF going no where but up in weight possibly 154lbs in the next couple of years makes Hatton vs PBF a low probabilty.

There ships have passed each other by and its time for us to stop to begin accepting this. Anyone see a scenario in which they fight in a Mega-Event?

Perhaps years down the road they might fight but it could be anti-climatic similar to Holyfield vs Tyson and Lewis vs Tyson.

Fights in which both fighters were not at there prime and fights that answer no questions and leave fans continuing the debate of "IF" they fought back when.

I'd say the chances are less now that Hatton's moving to 140.

But if Floyd is still at 147 and Hatton manages to beat Castillo, there could be renewed interest in the fight in a year or so.

All depends on how things play out.

I dont think Hatton wants to fight at 147, that's why he moved back down, Castillo was just a good excuse. IMHO the fight I wanted to see was Hatton/Cotto, but I doubt that would happen either, the only way Hatton/PBF would happen would be if Floyd came down to 140.

Exactly thats how I see it too. I dont see this fight happening anywhere other than jrWW if its fought within the next 2-3 years. I just dont see PBF coming back down to 140lbs when he has so many options and names at 147lbs and 154lbs.

Floyd said he would fight at 140, 147, and 154. Its still possible. I don't think Hatton really wants Floyd. I think Floyd's best weight is 140. I don't think he should go any higher than 147. I'd like to see him and Mosley fight at 147 sometime.

I agree. Though I'm a big fan of both guys, I'm pretty peeved about Hatton not fighting Mayweather. Mayweather is only going to go up in weight, and Hatton wasted precious time fighting sub par guys like Maussa and Collazo and now Urango

why is every 1 disrespecting hattons in ring ability. i think u need to remeber collazo is a great fighter the naturaly bigger man southpaw and no champion gives up there chance to defend there belt with out a fight.
and imo hatton would give mayweather the best fight since castillo 1, maybe even be able to prove every1 wrong and beat him
