Keys to succsess for Toney V Peter

Aight these are the keys to a victory for either James "Light_Out" Toney Or Sam "The Nigerian Nightmare" Peter!

    1. If Toney wants to win he needs to be in tiptop shape but also over the 230 mark to be able to pressure and tire Peter at a quicker and faster pace then a lighter Toney would be able to. He also needs to protect himself and since one of the things he is widely known for is his sometimes (mostimes)IMPREGNABLE DEFENSE, he needs to illustrate this in a NOBEL BOOK PRIZE way and early, becuz if he doesnt it may be a short night for him! He also needs to box his ass off, rather then tryin to slug or even KO peter becuz it is very inlikely to happen!

    2. For Peter to win (which i predict will happen) he needs to pace himself and understand that Toney will not just roll over, he needs to demonstrate a calm yet steady approach and pressure Toney constantly, if he can stay on top of toney and work the body, to get Toney to drop his hands he has a very good shot of KOing "Lights Out" late or even early! He also needs to watch the KLIT fight to see exactly what happened to turn the tides around so galently towards the middle of the fight, and not steer towards those same results!

    3. I predict that the younger and more powerful fighter in PETER will prevail but will not call it an upset of Toney pulls it off, Toney is a vet and has the boxing skills to match his mouth and can do some big things in the ring! Sept 2 is approaching fast and im looking forward to this fight being FOTY and very very exciting at that but also very competitive for the first 5-6 rds, i ultimaltley think but hate to admit but think Peter will TKO Toney late in the fight!

if this is foty, i will be shocked. because there have been so many great fights. no doubt i expect a great fight though.

and part of whats gonna make it so exciting is because of what u said. both fighters got to put on a lot of pressure. toney, in order to tire out peter. and peter in order to knock out toney.

i think toney might take some early rounds off in hopes that peter punches himself out. i think that would a be a good gameplan for him, IMO

as i mentioned in another thread yesterday, for toney to win, i feel that he has to draw peter into throwing more than he should early. peter gets a little sloppier the more rounds he fights and gets frustrated quicker. toney should draw him into punching himself out as much as he can early and look to start to counter peter as he gets sloppier.

for peter, he needs to be able to tag toney cleanly and consistantly. toney tries to throw combos of 3 or 4 punches at a time, then rest a bit on using defence and toughness. when toney retracts his offence, peter should bludgeon him. samuel should probably be aware that toney is extremely comfortable on the ropes and for some reason, draws a fighter into playing his game there - where toney doesn't have the chance of being thrown back by true heavyweight punches. remember, rahman could push toney around the ring with a jab. peter should know that. it does make an impression on the judges when a punch throws a fighter from one side of the ring to the other.

toney will not likely come into the fight weighing 215. if he did, he would be punched around even more than he was in the rahman fight. peter should be not be much past 250. he should be working on his stamina as an extra advantage besides weight, size, and power as he may very well find that his youth may play a huge factor.

my fav boxer and the best underrated boxer of the last 10 years
        will win

peter has power lots of it
but he has way too many flaws
        and toney will exploit them
as long as he is in shape

toney not in shape peter wins
because he is a bigger guy
and can carry his weight much easier
toney jus thas the weightbecause he is lazy
